UPDATESUPDATES
Yes, I know, AeP hasn't been updated in...forever. I won't be updating this version of AeP for a while, because I'm working on switching over to another host, and am turning everything into PHP format. So yeah, AEP will be relaunched. When? I don't know. But I'm working on it. ;)Big Movie News; Colfer on TourBig Movie News; Colfer on Tour
Unison.ie has posted an article saying that a possible actor to play Artemis, Aidan Mitchall, has been found. The article states:Aidan said he would love to work with Steven Spielberg, but for now he is hoping to clinch a role in the movie, 'Artemis Fowl'.
The film, which is based on the books by ex-schoolteacher, Eoin Colfer, is currently in pre-production.
He said he had to work hard on "getting rid" of his Irish accent for the American roles but he would be more than happy to bring it back for a role in an Irish movie.
This is still unconfirmed, so consider this a rumor.
Another big story has been posted on a UK news website, Times Online, where they report that the screenplay for the movie is being written:
Jim Sheridan, the Oscar-nominated director, is currently writing the screenplay for the first movie [Artemis Fowl] adaptation with Colfer, with a view to directing the multi-million-euro project.

And finally, the official US Artemis Fowl website says that Eoin Colfer will be touring the US, at the following locations and dates:
September 30th: MBA Breakfast
Barnes and Noble
Roseville, Minnesota
Time: N/A
October 1st: Red Balloon
St Paul, Minnesota
12:00PM
October 2nd:Anderson's Bookshop
Naperville, Illinois
Time: N/A

Big news! As many people know, the four Artemis Fowl books are being relaunched, with all new, spectacular covers. They will be released on April 6th.Also, with the relaunch of the books comes the relaunch of the official UK Artemis Fowl site. The site currently has a timer, counting down to April 4th, the day the new site will be accessible to everyone. However, I, and a handful of other webmasters, have been given special access to view the site for today only. I cannot tell you too much, but let me just say that the site is totally different from the old one, and it is absolutely fantastic. It is loaded with cool features, games, contests, information, and so much more. And I'm sure you will all like it very much.

Opal DeceptionOpal Deception
I just chose to write this news article out of sheer glee because I finally finished The Opal Deception!!!!! It was the absolute best of the series! It had a perfect length, surprise, humor, and everything else great! I couldn't help but laugh when I read what happened to Opal. I was very, very sad about Root. I didn't think Eoin was serious, but at the end, I found out he was. Holly really surprised me when she did that thing at the end--the private detective thing, to not give out too much information. Well, I just wanted to say that!!
